- AMOL: Australian Museums & Galleries
OnLine
- AMOL
had a good set of links to various conferences, Australian and worldwide,
let's hope that CAN,
Collections Australia Network, will pick this up.
- EVA conferences - Electronic
Information and the Visual Arts
- Held all over the world for many years - London, Florence and Berlin
are regulars. Recently the first EVA conference in China took place.
- HEDS - Higher Education Digitisation
Service
- HEDS holds conferences each year. The one in 2002
had some particularly interesting papers - charging models for digital
cultural heritage, for example.
- ICHIM conferences
- International Cultural Heritage Informatics Meeting - Originally biannual,
now more an annual series, mostly in Europe. Run by Archives & Museum
Informatics - proceedings online are free.
- Museum Documentation Association
conferences
- The mda has held an annual conference for a number of years. Recently
these have focused almost entirely on museums and internet subjects.
Conference papers since 1998
are now on line (the MDA website is currently being reconstructed).
- Museum Computer Group (UK)
- Its first conference, UK Museums and the Web, held in 2001, was an
outstanding success. Its website
contains abstracts and copies of presentations - some too sketchy to
be useful, but others are useful pointers.
- Museum Computer
Network, USA
- Conferences for individuals and institutions wishing to improve their
means of developing, managing and conveying museum information through
the use of automation.
- Museums
and the Web conferences
- Information and online papers from the series of conferences, usually
in North America.
- OZeCulture
conferences
- Annual conferences in Australia on culture, creative industries and
ebusiness.
